With new makeup dropping at dizzying rates, we've taken it upon ourselves to make it easier for you to sort through the latest lipsticks, foundations, eye shadows, the hottest (and sometimes unexpected) collaborations, and even the advent of the next, big celebrity-backed brand. We're not exaggerating when we say Allure editors eagerly pore over every single launch to find the standouts each month. Although we're partial to our particular favorites, there's something new and shiny for everyone. It might take a little digging, but the resulting treasure is totally worth it.
If you're like us, your heart rate probably spikes whenever you discover a new makeup category, improved formula on an old classic, or real strides towards sustainability being made. In 2021 alone, we're seeing product categories like skin tints, cream blushes and bronzers, colorful liners, and brow waxes explode in popularity. It's enough to make anyone consider an overhaul of their makeup collection to make room for new goodies — or to add a select few to their rotations and jazz up their everyday look. As the world slowly opens back up, don these products for a day in the office or for a night out with friends. After over a year of staying indoors, quite literally anything goes.

The Super Nudes Easy Eye Palette (pictured above) features six velvet-matte eye shadows in classic cool and warm browns, as well as a true black, to deliver a trusty, smoky eye look without a single fault.

Maintain your dewy summer glow with a bi-phase self-tanning face mist that's just as refreshing and energizing as it is easy-to-use. Colored mascaras are an incredibly easy way to inject some fun into your everyday look and instantly elevate a monochromatic eye look with just a few swipes. As a native Brazilian, Camila Coelho undoubtedly knows a thing or two about attaining the perfect glow. Luckily for us, she's sharing her wisdom à la the easy-to-master Elaluz Stick Bronzer with Camu Camu, which is available in three shades: Yummy (matte tan), Super Yummy (matte mocha), and Superstar (bronze shimmer; pictured above).
These creamy formulas melt right into the skin, thanks to a moisturizing blend of camu camu — a Brazilian berry that cosmetic chemist Ginger King says contains 30 times more than vitamin C than oranges — meadowfoam seed and sunflower seed oils, and soothing vitamin E. The stick format is ideal for the face, body, and chest areas because we like our shimmer as abundant as possible.

Make room on your bathroom shelves for YSL Beauty's NU Collective, which features five products influenced by Gen Z consumers — because they're essentially taking over the beauty world. (Didn't you know?) Each item, like the photographed Bare Look Tint, features at least one ingredient grown within the brand's Ourika Community Gardens located at the foot of Morocco's Atlas mountains.
This particular skin tint is formulated with 15 percent glycerin for all-day hydration and tone-brightening mallow for an effortless glow that still lets your natural complexion shine through. Other members of the NU Collective are the Glow In Balm, Blotting Lotion, Tone Corrector, and Dewy Mist.

Yet another way to keep your summer glow alive is to add a few drops of Ciaté London's Brazilian Glow Bronzing Serum to your complexion — either under or over foundation, or by itself — for a natural-looking hit of warmth in either Bronze Glow (matte) or Shimmer (infused with pearls).

Ilia scooped up a Readers' Choice Award for its Limitless Mascara just last year, so when we got wind of the Fullest Volumizing Mascara launch, we had our hopes way up — and the "clean" beauty brand definitely met our expectations. The violin-shaped brush doles out the perfect amount of true-black pigment to really add volume and oomph into your lashes. Ariana Grande leads a busy life, to say the least, so turning her hit songs into addicting scents seems like a smart way to do business. Cream bronzers are having a moment and for good reason. These balmy formulas simply melt into your skin, leaving behind a soft glow that mimics a day out in the sun — but without any of the UV damage. Even better, Saie's Sun Melt Natural Cream Bronzer is spiked with soothing colloidal oatmeal, vitamin E-rich grapeseed oil, and vitamin A-rich elderberry extract for skin-loving benefits you probably don't get from most bronzers.

Victoria's Secret is in the thick of a major rebrand, which includes swapping the brand's Angels for a more diverse board of ambassadors that includes the likes of soccer player Megan Rapinoe. But the lingerie and lifestyle brand is also taking the time to revamp another element of its past. Tease Crème Cloud builds on the legacy of the original Tease Eau de Parfum and is infused with new notes of vanilla meringue, santal flower, and sheer amber for a lighter-than-air vibe. You'll feel as if you're floating on cloud nine. Spokesperson Madison Beer even curated a special Spotify playlist that's as dreamy as the perfume itself.

Oftentimes setting powders have a reputation for being cakey or drying but that's definitely not the case with By Terry's Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder Palette. Not only is this compact relatively easier (and less messy) to tote around than individual loose powders, this quadrant of pressed powders is infused with our good friend, hyaluronic acid, for a dose of hydration that'll keep your complexion looking healthy and smooth all day long. Spherical powders control shine and blur textured areas, while the various tints even out your skin tone, color correct, and act as highlighter. If you're not based in Chicago and can't pay a visit to the Pear Nova Studio, you can still give your nails a salon-worthy makeover with the brand's classic and gel lacquers, which counts the Oprah amongst its fans. Absorb (rich black) and Reflect (bright white) are the latest additions to the growing lineup, and like the rest of the Pear Nova shades, they are vegan, cruelty-free, and 10-free. P.S. Pop the Nyx Professional Makeup Pore Filler Instant Blur Stick into your pocket to blur the appearance of large pores, fine lines, and excess oil and shine while you run around on a busy day. It's formulated with vitamin E, which results in a hydrating, soft-focus finish that looks way more natural than an Instagram or Zoom filter.

Iris&Romeo tapped makeup artist Carola Gonzalez, who works on the regular with celebrities with mid-to-deep skin tones, including Kerry Washington to Uzo Aduba, to revamp and expand the shade range of Best Skin Days, the first product the brand ever launched. Now, customers can choose from 12 shades that truly stretch to fit all skin tones and undertones. (For example, Gonzelez tells us she's most proud of shade 7, which she deems as "the most underrepresented shade for Latinx people with olive undertones.")
Rather than calling it a tinted moisturizer or foundation, this "active skin care" product features a transparent, non-nano mineral SPF that doesn't leave behind a white cast and guards against blue light — however, we do recommend applying a separate SPF of 30 or more, as this product only offers SPF 25. This hybrid, breathable formula also contains moisture-retaining hyaluronic acid, brightening vitamin C, and collagen-boosting oligosaccharides for glowy, my-skin-but-better coverage.
